Fun with Rocks and Minerals

Rocks and minerals are the basic building blocks for the crust of the Earth. In this class we will discover where geologists find the majority of rocks and minerals, how they form, and how to identify them. We will also travel to the Weis Earth Science Museum and Iron Mountain Iron Mine or Maribel Caves.

Niagara Falls in Wisconsin?

How does Niagara Falls tie to Wisconsin? This class will explore the Niagara Escarpment which is the most prominent geologic feature in Northeast Wisconsin. This class will have five field trips in addition to or in place of classroom time.
